OpenStudy (rissyroo118):

8x^2 - 50 Factor the polynomial best answer gets medal

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Find the greatest common factor of \(8x^2\) and \(50\), and then factor that out.

OpenStudy (majikdusty):

Basically start by looking at the coefficients. What can be factored out of both 8 and 50? The only thing i can think of is 2. so you get 2(4x^2-50) At this point, it's just a difference of squares a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b) 2(2x+5)(2x-5) Always remember to keep the coefficient
