OpenStudy (usukidoll):

isn't an irrational number inside a square root ? I know whole numbers and positive whole numbers are rational.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

An irrational number cannot be expressed as a fraction. Irrational numbers cannot be represented as terminating or repeating decimals. Irrational numbers are non-terminating, non-repeating decimals.

18

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

can't be a... square root of 16 is 4 and that's rational. hmmm.. I was thinking on sqrt(18) if we simplify that we have sqrt ( 9 x 2) which is 3sqrt(2)

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

I think it is b... that sqrt(2) throws everything off.

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

correct

OpenStudy (usukidoll):
