A writing prompt I was given. "In a world where religion has never existed, how would people react to others suddenly worshipping a 'higher deity" just want to get some perspective, can't exactly research it. can you?

Well I'm not sure how you would research this. I believe that if you have no belief in a "higher deity" and suddenly others are worshiping a deity, you would either be confused, scared, or drawn to it with curiosity. Maybe those that aren't worshiping the deity would retaliate against those that do or the other way around. Although, it's rather hard to imagine a world without religion because even people living in the most remote places believe in something...
