If an object traveling in one direction has a positive velocity, what kind of velocity would the same object traveling in the opposite direction have?

Velocity is a vector. The velocity of the same object in the opposite direction is treated as negative when compared to its previous direction of motion.( the magnitude is positive but its direction is taken as negative)
