Need Help PLEASE
with what
Im so confused The question: The graph shows the amount of drink mix that was added to water at different intervals. What is the equation of the line in slope-intercept form, that represents this situation? The graph: http://gyazo.com/a01fa44eee68f8db75008baca1f1024d
slope-intercept form is y = mx + b Where m = slope and b = y intercept
Do you know how to find the slope of this line on the graph?
No I dont sadly
you need to know how to do that to answer this question
Is it rise over run?
yea
Take a loook http://www.coolmath.com/precalculus-review-calculus-intro/precalculus-algebra/01-graphing-slopes-of-lines-01 And yes :)
After you find the slope, you plug that where m is in the slope-intercept formula y = mx + b
Well I understand that but there are no points
If you do rise over run you you plug that in to the formula y=mx+b
You make your own points that lie on the line
Its still confusing
Ok
Can you find the slope given those two points? Any points you choose, the slope will always be the same, just letting you know.
(4,3) and (6,4) But if you do rise over run wouldnt it be run is 2 and rise is 2?
y2 - y1 over x2 - x1 4 - 3 over 6 - 4 1/2 correct?
