WILL GIVE A MEDAL IF YOU HELP WITH ANSWERS!!!!! Three vertices of a rectangle are given. Find the coordinates of the fourth vertex. (-2,4),(4,0),(2,-3) A.(-4,-1) B.(-4,0) C.(-4,1) D.(-4,2)

PLEASE help!!!

OpenStudy (mrnood):

|dw:1427216067371:dw| The above is a sketch showing the 3 points given as crosses, and the 4th point as a circle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So D?

OpenStudy (moses238):

C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why

OpenStudy (mrnood):

|dw:1427216206191:dw| because it is a rectangle you know that the 2 lines I drew are parallel and equal in length

OpenStudy (anonymous):

others said D

OpenStudy (moses238):

Make a graph

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@Rosalinda03 you cannot trust what 'others' say

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@MrNood

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it would be C

OpenStudy (mrnood):

the difference in x and y between the 2 points on the top line (which you DO know) must be the same as the difference on the bottom line SO you can work out the 4th point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@Rosalinda03 just look at my drawings - that IS the 'graph' you need |dw:1427216442809:dw|
