Erica purchased adult and youth tickets for a movie. She bought x adult tickets for $7 each and y youth tickets for $5. Write an expression that can be used to show the total cost, C, of all tickets. C = 7x + 5y C = (7 + 5)x C = (7 + 5)(x + y) C = 7y + 5x

If each adult ticket cost 7 dollars and each youth ticket cost 5, you would add all the cost of the tickets together right? The equation that shows that would be the first one since x is the adult tickets and y is the youth .. times them by their costs and add them together and you get the tottal :)

Thanks! Glad to help :)
