Could someone please help me? A hollow conducting cylinder has a length ,and inner and outer radii . It is made of a material with resistivity .A potential difference is set up between the inner and outer surfaces of the cylinder. Calculate the resistance of the cylinder.

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

yes, this is all about the surface area, that is across the wire. |dw:1427222617527:dw| you will have an equation that relates resistance to resistivity via area. this website is usually really good for highlighting the basic principles, not so good this time as normally it has very good illustrations, but you will find "that" formula here: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/electric/resis.html
