8x + 13y = 2 y = x - 2 Solve the system of equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4/3, -2/3) (4/21, -38/21) No solution

rishavraj (rishavraj):

multiply 2nd equation from 8 the new equation would be -8x + 8y = -16 and other equation is 8x + 13y = 2 add both equations "x" gets eliminated

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4/3, -2/3) Replace y in the first equation with (x-2) and then solve for x.
