not exactly sure if i understand what ur comparing exactly but i do know a lot about suicide so i think i can help

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

I am asking how this I mean the ethical and morality related to the suicide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well for the morality you can do research into different religions and how they see suicide. What there moral status is? i know Christianity sees it as a sin. That if u go through than you will go to hell. As for ethics well thats changed. The majority of the time society is telling u that its bad and trying to convince people to get help. To call suicide hotlines, go to therapy or even go to a mental hospital depending on the severity. Does that help at all I'm better with answering specific questions rather than full on topics

What is moral? What is ethical?... if anything at all (if you want to become philosophical about it, then these are your first questions. What are they and who determines what they are?) If not just ask: Is it moral? Is it ethical? Some see suicide as a selfish act (so not moral) but if conditions are really bad [again that's dependent on the person- who can say it's bad enough to die over] then some would consider it logical and ethical to some degree. Some argue it's their life, it's their choice- so morals depend on the person. Ethics are similar to morals if not the same. They are guidelines society dictates whereas morals can be determined by a person (though the fact is everything is affected by society). In conclusion: It's ethical in that society has segregated itself from personal decisions to ensure rights are not inhibited. Henceforth, logic has steered ethics. It's not moral because of the selfishness behind the act. Ethics and morals can be debated into oblivion. You'll note that not only have I contradicted myself but I've refuted my argument with my contradiction. BUT it sounds smart enough to get an A. Lol Good luck
