So the form is y=mx+b. When you this it is easy to graph because b is the y-intercept and m is the slope
See just put x=0 and the y=0 respectively to obtain corresponding values of y and x. As we need only 2 points 2 plot a line
If you need to graph it, plug in any number for x, then solve the right side of the equation. You will get Y= a number. So the x that you plugged in is the x coordinate and the y that you got is the y coordinate. Now you have 1 point on the graph, since you know where the y-intercept is you can just draw a line from the coordinates you got to the y-intercept point
:(
You want another way to solve it?
Here is another way.
You know where one point is because of the y-intercept. right?
yes, the slope is how many y you move up for each x. in this case you move three units up for each x.
so move one unit to the right and 3 units up, put a dot there and then connect them
the y intecept is 0,1 you know this because it is B in Y=mx+b
and the x will always be 0 since it is the crossing of the y intercept
ok
yep! good job :)
ok
