OpenStudy (darthvader2900):

A triangle has one angle that measures 59° and one angle that measures 31°. What kind of triangle is it? obtuse triangle isosceles triangle equiangular triangle right triangle

OpenStudy (welshfella):

we need to find the value of the third angle you know that the 3 angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees right?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

so we find the third angle by adding up the measure of the other 2 angles and subtracting that from 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add the two angles together. 59+31=90. there are 180 degrees in one triangle so do 180-90= 90. the third angle is 90 degrees. also known as a right angle. do you think you know what the triangle is called?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Darth are you there?

OpenStudy (darthvader2900):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what do you think it is called @DARTHVADER2900 ?

OpenStudy (darthvader2900):

I think it is D or C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes one of those are correct. remember that it has one RIGHT angle. (key word, RIGHT)

OpenStudy (darthvader2900):

D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah. it cant be C because in a equiangular triangle all of the angles are the same. and a right triangle has one right angle. so yes it is right triangle.
