help please Describe the importance of a commonly used measuring system. Be prepared to give two examples of why having a common system of measurement is important.

Well, have you looked at why standardization was put into the US constitution? And think about how something as simple as a recipe would change if I used different ratios to the measurements than you did... say 4 oz to a cup, but my tablespoon and teaspoon were the same. Suddenly it would look like I used a ton of flower and sugar in my cake and almost no vanilla extract... And version of it would not taste like mine.
