I would like to suggest the Japanese language as a new subject. I know not many people are fond of the idea of Japanese. But it would really help me out in the future.
Sadly, the special character support is not working properly. This makes it hard to do Japanese. but you can post in Language and Culture and tag me or @Jamierox4ev3r
Sugoi! Sugoi! I would love something Kawaii like that. Desu Desu! Maybe with the new site and launch coming up, we'll see some change in how characters are displayed! Ja! Ja!
thanks that is better than nothing.
FYI: Hanako's middle name is Jamie, which is where the Jamie rocks thing comes from. Well, that and playing violin. She learned Japanese from her Japanese grandmother and father. I, on the other hand, took it for a couple years in college as well as have done some other study of it.
wow that's awsome
Well I want to learn Japanese because I am thinking about moving to Japan
I can get you a ton of free resources on it.
My mom teaches Japanese, so like any young aspired teen, the only terms I've coined are those from anime and pop culture. Desu ne!
Commercial language school in Tokyo, and they happen to give out a ton of free materials including recordings and practice tests. http://www.mlcjapanese.co.jp/ Tae Kim learned Japanese both in college and on his own. As he did this, he made a free book. He has added to it since: http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/ And the final in my top three suggestions is Japanese Pod 101. There was a guy working for a translation company in Japan. He is American, but knows Japanese well enough to work for a translation company to do Japanese to English translation. He got the idea of doing a podcast on learning Japanese. He got his company to support it. Since then it has grown and they have a TON of audio with native speakers in practical situations: http://www.japanesepod101.com/ Now, most of the JP101 content is NOT free. However, they do like one free one every week, which adds up to a lot over time. Also, when I signed up with them before they gave a one week trial of the full.. which can let you download a ton! Also, you can sign up for one month and over that month just download all their audio and PDFs. You won't have access to the site tools, but you will have a curriculum that they developed by working with a Japanese school teacher and recorded with both native and foreign speakers of Japanese.
i love that one random question which attracts so much random attention but remains inactive

Some languages are Verb, Subject, Object or VSO, others are SVO, SOV, VOS, etc. It is just a difference between what you are used to and Japanese.
how about being correct in your native language before moving on to another
