So you should think of summaries as a shorter way to tell about the events and details of a passage.they should just include the most important details or events. Choice A is too specific and it focuses on one part of the passage. D does not says that the only result was bitterness in grief but the passage doesn't say that. C really focuses on one part of the passage too. I think B would be the best answer what about you?

and c says slavery has always been cited as the root cause of the civil but the passage says that many (but not all) historians say this. So that makes C false as well.
