Using the Elimination Method I got (10,-4) For the problem 15x-35y=25 + -15x+27y=15 could you guys tell me if I did get it right if not then Ill figure it out

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

The original two eqns are 15x - 35y = 25 and -15x + 27y = 15 right? If yes, then x=10 and y=-4 is not the right answer.

OpenStudy (sosa4954):

did I get atleast one number right? @superdavesuper

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Hahahaa u get very close to the right answer for y :)

OpenStudy (sosa4954):

okay thnaks

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Hint: just add the two eqns together then solve for y...good luck!

OpenStudy (sosa4954):

ALright haha thanks

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Welcome - did u get the right answers already?

OpenStudy (sosa4954):
