Mr.Stein is purchasing 2.25 pounds of meat that costs $2.80 per pound.How much change should Mr.Stein receive if he gives the cashier $20.00?
Please help!!!!!

first you do 2.25 times 2.80 then take that number and subtract it from 20

For this problem, you have to calculate the price of each meat per pound.
So 2.25x2.80= 6.3 is the price.
Now subtract the amount he paid from the price of the meat to find the change returned.
So 20-6.3 = $13.7 so 13 dollars and 75 cents.
