Well, what did you come up with? Also, is this in Dominant American Culture (DAC) or elsewhere or world wide? DAC has some of this, but it has been shrinking since the country was founded. Japan, in contrast, started changing not as long ago and has some sectors, like motherhood, where there is a huge resistance to change. And when you look at many places in Latin America, there are huge class differences that have had little change in a very long time.
