I think the smartcents should be interchangeable to unlock titles. I have like 40 some in literature, but there are no titles for literature, so I wish I could use them to unlock writing or english. Or have literature get it's own unlockable titles. Otherwise I feel they are kind of wasted, you know?
I agree :)
This is also the case in subjects like LaTeX Practicing! :) and design, i agree that we should be able to transfer smartcents, although there is a downside to that, there are people like me, that have 200 medals in the LaTeX section, so we would be able to get four titles right off the bat, so it is a good idea, but it has flaws.
SmartCents are a total that can be used anywhere, but medals are not. The idea of restricting them is that you have shown proficiency in that topic. So you need enough medals in the topic to get the unlock.
Can you at least make titles for all the topics then? Because some of them don't have any.
Earth Science's needs titles as well.
Nice idea. @jessmitz But imagine if an helpful math user buys a history title. People will think he's good at history when he is actually good at math.
The LaTeX section needs titles..... im at 222 medals in it.... :/
See @Jaynator495 post about LaTeX titles. @nobrainiachere
I know, i have already suggested LaTeX titles in @thomaster suggestion box
The reason that they don't have titles is because they don't have title names for those subjects. You can suggest titles. :)
@EclipsedStar I think we ask this, but nothing happens. I suggested a title "Super Scientist" for Earth Science's, but it's like a month or so later, and nothing has happened. :/ Same with other subjects.
Try making another post then, it should have more collaboration from others.
@EclipsedStar we have already had multiple posts about different LaTeX titles, and multiple people have suggested it to thomaster, but there has been no progreess on it.
Make a post suggesting some title names. :)
Yes, adding names will be a long process. Also, they really need to revise the title interface to make it easier to use with a large number of topics. The scrolling thing they did only works for a small number, not the expanse of OpenStudy.
