PLEASE HELP MEDAL Which best explains how the use of first-person point of view in "Gumption" contributes to the tone? This point of view shows the reader how everyone in the story is feeling which creates a proud tone. The first person point of view allows the reader to sense the reflective tone Sylvester had when looking back on this incident. The story gives the reader just the main character's thoughts and emotions, so the longing tone is magnified and clarified. Since the story is told from multiple points of view, the tone varies depending upon each perspective.
