The Fertile Crescent is a moist area in the Middle East along the Tigris River and Euphrates River, residing in Mesopotamia, an ancient civilization. This region was fantastic for farming because the rivers flooded and left behind mineral deposits and nutrients for the soil, which allowed the people there to farm and follow the flooding seasons.
