OpenStudy (anonymous):

i kinda feel like something is wrong,,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if not, could someone tell me the right way it is ??

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Is it an answer to a question about when people went sailing? It is grammatically correct. It sounds a bit strange though, because when you use passé composé, it means the action happened at a precise time, whereas "en été" is quite general. I would either write : Ils allaient faire de la voile en été. (using imparfait) or specify which summer you are talking about: Ils sont allés faire de la voile l'été dernier. (last summer)

oh, okay, that makes sense ! thank you !!
