I NEED HELP PLEASE! Which of the following requires oxygen? A. Fermentation B.Gylcolysis C. Krebs cycle D. Photosynthesis

OpenStudy (reckless43):

Krebs cycle

OpenStudy (academicgurusinc):

Though the Krebs cycle does not directly require oxygen, it can only take place when oxygen is present because it relies on by-products from the electron transport chain, which requires oxygen. The Krebs cycle is therefore an aerobic process. Glycolysis can occur both via aerobic and anaerobic respiration meaning it can use oxygen but it does not need to. Fermentation exists as anaerobic respiration. Photosynthesis produces oxygen. Therefore the correct answer is the Krebs Cycle.
