OpenStudy (mathmath333):

\(\large \color{black}{\begin{align} \normalsize \text{Polygon ABCDEF is a regular hexagon.}\hspace{.33em}\\~\\ \normalsize \text{Find the ratio of }\dfrac{A(\text{ ABCDEF})}{A(\triangle \text{ACE})}\hspace{.33em}\\~\\ \end{align}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this asking the area of hex/area triangle?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

yes

OpenStudy (phi):

You could use 30-60-90 triangles to figure it out.

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

on which triangle ?

OpenStudy (phi):

it's a bit complicated. but the interior angles of the hexagon are 120 degrees the equilateral triangle uses up 60 degrees, so the "other 2" are 30 degree |dw:1427317124662:dw|
