hmmm

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

actually... should be what remained....so

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

originaly there were 60 so 1/3 of that was sold or 1/3 * 60 then what remained? well, if 1/3 of 60 was sold, then 2/3 of 60 remained the next day it sold, 3/5 of that remaining amount, or 2/3 of 60 thus \(\bf 60-\left( \cfrac{1}{3}\cdot 60 \right)-\left[ \cfrac{3}{5} \left( {\color{brown}{ \cfrac{2}{3} }}\cdot 60 \right)\right] \)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

bear in mind that 3/3 = 1 or 1 whole and that 1/3 + 2/3 = 3/3 = 1 or the original whole amount
