Someone please help me. 25% of a number is 80. What is 60% of the number? A. 12 B. 192 C. 320 D. 53

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so first you have to find 100% of the number. Since this is 25% this can be done very easily by multiplying the 80 by 4 which will give you 100%. Then you will have to find 60% of that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright I did that and got 320 is that correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is, now you have to find 60% of it. How do you multiply a number by a percent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is 192

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I got 192.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

erwillard please do not just give out the answer. We are supposed to help, but no one can learn if they just straight up get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright so I did it correct, oh erwillard gave the answer, I did not notice. Thank you okayd.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
