ALGEBRA 1 Jake is comparing the prices of two laundry service companies. Company A charges $20 per load and an additional $8 as service charges. Company B charges $24 per load and an additional $4 as service charges. Part A: Write equations to represent Company A's and Company B's total laundry charges for a certain number of loads. Define the variable used in the equations. Part B: Which company would charge less for 5 loads of laundry? Justify your answer. Part C: How much money is saved by using the services of Company A instead of Company B to clean 9 loads of laundry?
ok so start with Part A
you need 2 equations
for company A, they say 20 per load and additional 8
can you turn that into an equation using y=mx+b?
@BonnieB. ?
let x be PER load, becuase we dont know how many loads people are gonna use so therefore if comp A charges 20 per load itwould be 20x, your paying 20 dollars lets say every 5, or 6 or 7 and so on. then additional 8 wohat would that be? 20x+8 so for comp B try that yourelf
hah its okay as long as you practice youll grasp the concept
