If you're addressing the best car in the world (btw don't use that idea to write an essay, it's suckish) your thesis would be something like "This a generation of progression, we see it in the technology and the people; similarly, vehicles have metamorphosed from simplistic mechanisms of travel to works of art. Personal preference, quality of brand, horse power and design are factors that can determine the 'best car in the world'." BLEH Just an example. Your thesis doesn't always have to be one sentence.
