A person throws a ball with a mass of 175g . If the person's hand exerts a force of 5.00N @50 degrees, what will the resulting acceleration of the ball? (must include the affect of gravity) Please include a free body diagram so maybe it will make a little more sense

OpenStudy (shamim):

Can u tell me the x component of 5N?

OpenStudy (shamim):

X component of 5N is=5*cos50 Right??

OpenStudy (shamim):

Now y component of 5N is=5*sin50 Right??

OpenStudy (shamim):

Gravitational acceleration is along negative y. Right??

OpenStudy (shamim):

So force along negative y axis due to gravitational acceleration=mg=0.175*9.8N

OpenStudy (shamim):

So resultant force along negative y axis=0.175*9.8-5*sin50=?

OpenStudy (shamim):

Now u hv to use F=ma a=F/m=F/0.175=?

OpenStudy (shamim):

Along x axis acceleration a=?

OpenStudy (shamim):

Response plz!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't really get it, but thank you for responding! (I didn't see a notification anyone responded, I apologize for not answering sooner)

OpenStudy (shamim):

Its ok

OpenStudy (shamim):

I wanna try to make it easy for u
