OpenStudy (inowalst):

I was talking to my teacher and she asked me to give her three sentences with the verb etre.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

I told her: Je suis de la Floride. Je suis seize ans. Je suis un danseur. But she told me to tell her what the verb for the second one was..

OpenStudy (inowalst):

I thought "Je suis" > "suis" is the verb, since its a form of etre which means "to be."

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

In French, you do not use the verb être to tell how old you are. You use avoir: J'ai seize ans. You must choose another sentence.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Ohhh okay. Thank you.
