The light bulb will be off regardless of the state of the switch C. The light bulb will be on if the switch is open D. The light bulb will be off if the switch is open I'm thinking that the answer is D but please help me?

Why do you say D?
Because when a switch is open the current can't go through all the way to the light bulb.
Right! The circuit is not complete, so current can't travel.
