OpenStudy (thedj4jc):

Simplify 2(x - 3) + 7(x + 2). 9x - 8 9x + 3 9x + 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is c

OpenStudy (thedj4jc):

I have two different answers. Please explain how you got them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9x-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(x-3)-7(x+2) 2x-6-7x-14 9x-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because 2(x-3) is 2x - 6 and 7(x+2) is 7x + 14 so 2x + 7x = 9x and 14 - 6 is +8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both the 7 and the 2 are positive so that would be incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry accidentally put in a minus instead of a plus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C
