Fans & Medals why did each of the 13 states write a constitution soon after independence was declared

OpenStudy (godmod360):

Well consider this without a governmental system or body than the independence would quickly erupt into chaos which of course is more dangerous than oppression so the continental congress set out to make a governmental system that reigned supreme in all state affairs so that no one person would have that power. First they created, the Articles of Confederation which many forget about because it was only utilized for a short time since it did not give the central government any powers this states had all the power and this didn't work because it made interstate affairs nearly impossible since each state had different laws, currency, infrastructure, and military units. So they later created the Constitution which is still in use today and forms the backbone of American politics.
