I'll give a medal to whoever helps! Does anyone know a lot about Romeo and Juliet?
kind of
which of these questions would you be able to give the most information on? 1. Do you think Romeo and Juliet is appropriate for freshman? 2. Do you think Romeo and Juliet is more of a love or tragedy story? 3. Do you think Romeo and Juliet are really in love with each other or are they just infatuated with each other? @SarahMotionless
2
Okay! do you think it is a love story or more of a tragedy? @SarahMotionless
It's a love story. Key themes in it are the forcefulness of love, and love as a cause of violence and irrationality. But rather, it is more of a shallow, tragic, ridiculous one than a conventional one.
3. They barely knew each other. They met at a party and flirted. Later that night they had a brief conversation on her balcony during which they discussed their "undying love". Juliet assumed his declaration of love meant they were getting married, which she was keen on since she didn't really like her parents' prearranged choice of husband. R&J spent only a few hours together after the wedding, and then he left to enter his exile.
sorry could only answer 2 and 3
Okay thank you that helps a lot! So I have to write a persuasive essay on why I think it's a love story rather than a tragedy. I have to list 3 reasons why I think so, so do u mind helping me with 3 reasons why R&J would be considered a love story?
sure
im going to say its a tragedy is that okay its easier for me more reasons
1.Romeo just fell in love because of how pretty Juliet was and before he said he was "in love" with Rosaline like two seconds before he saw Juliet.
Absolutely!
okay thank u so much!
do you have 2 more?
2. i think that Romeo was on the rebound and juliet was in the middle of a fit of teenage rebellion and they never would of made it as a couple.
That's a good one! I agree
3.The end was a tragedy
hope i helped
