you can do this using energy.  KE + PE at bottom + W = KE + PE at top.

they have given you all the numbers.

the +W bit is what you did to make it all happen.  the energy you added to the system.  you did it by applying a force in the direction of the 15m plane.

you can also do it using a force diagram, and force equations.
