identify the solution to this system linear equation. x-2y=8 4x+5y=-7 a: (2,-3) b:(2,3) c:(0,3) d:(1,3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for a variable in one of the eqautions first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how to do that

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm how are you supposed to solve it anyway? substitution or elimination? have you covered eitehr method yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wrote everything that it said

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

ok... so that puts us back to square one though what part of the chapter is the exercise of? what part that was covered is the exercise based on?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

if you haven't covered solving system of equations, and you have this exericse then it seems the exercise doesn't apply to you unless you've covered the section

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i went over something like this a while ago but i forget

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well.. you may want to brush up your chapter on "system of equations" first then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know the linear part but o dont under stand the option part

OpenStudy (astrophysics):
