- will give medal and will fan you! Explain how President Roosevelt showed the character trait of social intelligence in his responses to the Great Depression or World War.
FDR enacted many social reforms in the First and Second New Deal. In fact, he started so many things, he started a phenomenon called "The First Hundred Days" that all presidents after him hold themselves accountable to. He ended Prohibition, which added money back into the economy. He created many jobs through laws such as the Tennessee Valley Authority Act or the Agricultural Adjustment Act or National Industrial Recovery Act (this time period is also called his Alphabet Soup period since his laws were abbreviated). He also passed Glass-Steagall Banking Bill and Home Owner's Act that also added money and helped out the Americans. That was all part of the First New Deal.
was this copied from somewhere ? or these are you words ?
In the Second New Deal, he passed many more job creating opportunities, such as the Works Progress Administration, National Labor Relations Act (Wagner Act), National Youth Administration, Social Security Act, and more. Some of these acts also improved working conditions. He often gave speeches to the American people talking about giving them back their money.
These are all my words!
ok .. thanks alot!
As for the war, FDR attempted to stay neutral and supply weapons to any country that was willing to pay in cash, until the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Then the US got involved with the Allies and FDR helped to start the UN, but died before the war ended. Then Wilson became president.
