eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Jesse is studying a blood sample that has only antigen B on the red blood cells and antibody A in the plasma. What is the type of the blood sample? A. A+ B. A– C. B+ D. B–

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

I know it's either C or D.

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

@EclipsedStar Yes, it would have to be B type, let me check my notes,

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Oh ok. :)

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

@EclipsedStar Ok, I can't find my notes, but we can use rationality here. I think the "-" and "+" refers to the rh factor which is just another type of antigen.

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

@EclipsedStar I think that AB designated either "+" or "-" and Type O also represented the other type. I think AB is a plasma donor so it would be "+"

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

I would say C. B+ because AB would be a plasma donor and since antibody A was in the plasma that's what I would go with.

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Yeah that's what I was thinking :)

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

I'm lagging...thanks for your help! :D

OpenStudy (barreraa):

yeah @alphadxg is right i agree with her
