the attachment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant look at attachments can u type it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=x^2-7 find (fg)(2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(f o g) translates to: Take whatever g is and replace x in f.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya, i know that. but it wants f times g

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(g o f) translates to : Take whatever f is and replace x in g with it. Let me to this one, I believe it should be easy to get what the other one looks like. (g o f) is (2x+1)^2-7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's not f times g - that is f composed with g.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so can you write the equation out please? what it should look like? im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f=2x+1 g=x^2-7 (g o f) = instead of x put f in g= (2x+1)^2-7 (f o g) = instead of x put g in f = ...

thx
