HELPP please ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A small pizza has a diameter of 21 cm. What is the approximate circumference of the pizza? Use = 3.14.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

step by step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To get the approximate circumference of a circle the fomula is (3.14) (r^) The diameter is 21 but we must find the radius so therefore, we 21/2 which then equals 10.5 so now (3.14) (10.5^2) We multiply 10.5x10.5x3.14 which leads to the answer of 346.185 If i was confusing at some point, please tell me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for this part (10.5^2) what is the ^ for ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ is like the exponent per example. |dw:1427490306495:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much for actually helping me understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem, if you have further questions don't be afraid to message! Thanks for the medal!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@notsmartlol it only lets me put in 346.1 i think i have to simplify it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In that case round to the tenths so put 346.2
