let number of 3 point problems be x and number of 4 point be y you can form two equations in x and y to be solved
Let A be the number of 4 point problems and B be the number of 3 point problems. 1.A%2BB=32 2.4A%2B3B=111 Use eq. 1 to solve for A. A%2BB=32 A=32-B
Or his way
x + y = 32 and the other equation will take into account the points values can you set this equation up?
