MIT 6.189 A Gentle Introduction to Programming Using Python (OCW) 20 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello all, I have downloaded the course materials but am having some trouble figuring out where to begin. Advice? Thanks!

OpenStudy (rsmith6559):

I usually check out the syllabus first to find out what reading should be done before what lecture and when assignments are due.

Well, do you have any programming background at all? If not, I would suggest the first 5 to 10 short videos here: https://www.thenewboston.com/videos.php?cat=36 They are like 10 min each and will get you over the very, very basics. But, the guy that made them does not focuss as much on computer science as he does on just writing code. That is where the class is better. Also, because Bucky does his by topics, you can go back and look up any topic the class has. Say you get to if statments and do not get them. Back to Bucky, 20 and 21, less than a half an hour later you will have seen some examples to complement the class.
