A baseball coach wants you to buy at least 2 bats and 20 baseballs with a budget of $200 Write a system of inequalities with 3 equations. Let X=Balls and Y=Bats

OpenStudy (thefurball):

Let me know if you still need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I do

OpenStudy (thefurball):

Are you sure you have the whole word problem? They should have given you the price of bats and baseballs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yeah, sorry about that XD Bats are $35 each and Baseballs are $3

OpenStudy (thefurball):

Ok (: We can make 3 different inequalities from the information we are given. 1: We need at least 2 bats, so\[x \ge2\]2: We need at least 20 baseballs, so \[y \ge 20\]3: we can't spend any more than $200, so we know that \[35x + 3y \le 200\]

I do understand how to get that first equation but how would I write the other 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait never mind I see

OpenStudy (thefurball):

Awesome XD

Thank you XD I had that answer before but I thought I was wrong Thanks a lot
