It's simple addition: 17+5/12+3+4/5 = 20 + 73/60
20 + 73/60 = 21 + 13/60
And add the minus sign because it's under sea level.
17 5/12 + 3 4/5 = 209/12 + 19/5 = 1273/60 = 21 13/60 He is going below sea level....so it would be D. Figure sea level is 0, if you go below, your going in the negative direction
