Ok so I know how to do inequalites but this one stumped me: Solve for x: 5 − (x + 5) > −2(x + 4)

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

so firsdt distrubute: 5-x-5>-2x-8

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

now move x on one side and numbers on other: x>-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 5x+25 >-2x -8?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

so basicly you get the anseer easily just solve as ordinary equation

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

nononon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just distribute the right side?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

oh wait i did a mistake

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

5 − (x + 5) > −2(x + 4) 5-x-5>-2x-8

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

-x>-2x-8 x>-8

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

just reflesh if you have ? marks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oH i see what you did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!
