Algebra 2 semester 2 help please? Rational Functions. http://prntscr.com/6mzt4u
16 is substitution, when n=1/2 does it make a true statement rational can be thought of as 'looks like a fraction' rational functions are just glorified fractions and all the rules of fractions apply to them
I don't understand how to do 17. :o
well, the simplest thing to do would be to clear the denominators; so multiply thru by 5-p
when does: 5-p^2 = -2(5-p)
might need to know the quadratic formula to solve for p if you aint to good at factoring
this is so difficult lol sigh. thank you
that looks really wrong
you dropped the negative on the 2 at the start ...
and you forgot to ... let me spot a few things for you
5 - p^2 = -2(5-p) 5 - p^2 = -10+2p - p^2 =2p -15 0 = p^2 +2p -15
Whaaaat :o Oh man I should not have started this quiz
5 and -3 are factors of -15 that add up to 3, so we can facotr this into 2 pieces 0 = (p-3)(p+5) now when does p-3=0? when does p+5=0?
p=3 and p=-5.
thats the solutions for p as long as 5-p doesnt equal 0 we are good to go ... cant divide by a zero after all. 5--5=10 so we are good
thank you
so much :)
good luck with it
