*Will fan and medal* 1) Describe how changes in one part of an ecosystem, including population changes and human impact, affect other changes in the ecosystem? 2) describe how species have adapted over time, including structural and behavioral adaptions 3) explain how species become extinct

Post what you have already and i will edit it =)

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

okay

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

im still working on 1 but ill show u 2 and 3 2) species have adapted over time due to climate change, change of land around them, and etc. You either have to die out or try to adapt to stay alive. For EX: (structural) Rabbits have widely spaced eyes that give them a wide field of vision for surveillance and detection of danger. (behavioral) Rabbits freeze behavior when rabbits are startled reduces the possibility of detection by wandering predators.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That looks good =) I would say "Rabbits tend to freeze their behavior when startled, which reduces the possibility of them being detected by wandering predators" =)

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

3) Species can become extinct by 1) Habitat loss 2) Non-Native Species 3) and Hunting. Habitat loss One of the biggest causes of extinction is due to, habitat loss. Clearing away forests, draining wetlands, damming rivers, and turning grasslands into farming areas. Non-Native Species Sometimes people introduce other animals to other places in parts of the world. Since theese animals do not have any natural predators, they often spread very fast and take over habitat and food sources from Native Species. Hunting Sometimes animals, like tigers, cheetahs, elephants, and other animals are hunted because of something valuable that we humans want. Many of these animals take a long time to reproduce so that is why some animals are close to extinction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello so whats the question

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

well questions

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

1) Describe how changes in one part of an ecosystem, including population changes and human impact, affect other changes in the ecosystem? 2) describe how species have adapted over time, including structural and behavioral adaptions 3) explain how species become extinct

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

i believe i know 2 and 3 but i need help on 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i can help on 1

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

@aahmed123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do think it is

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

for the first one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one is basically asking how changes in an ecosystem affects the population

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

@Music_me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so according to this, take a particular ecosystem (i perfer using underwater ecosystems but u can choose wut u want), and write down how some change in the ecosystem affects the plants and animals living in there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH WAIT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAAAAAAAAAAIT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i got it all wrong sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so suppose some change happened in a particular ecosystem

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Okay so here is what i got so far... In an ecostytem, there are different parts each supporting each other so if one part is destroyed, the other parts could be affected majorly or minorly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now becuase of that change in that particular ecosystem, wut effect will it have on the other ecosystems?

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

:3 hmmm i see thinking cap question....i like it XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WAIT WAIT i got it wrong again (sheesh how many times??) T.T

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok this is mai own example, say theres this lake ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and there are plants, animals, fish and all that stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lets say that lost of the idk fish r dying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how will it affect the rest of the ecosystem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THATS the real question theyre asking (FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT!)

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Well, lets say there is a forest, lets just say a jungle, if humans cut down the trees the animals will loose their habitat then an affect on that would be the population of the animals would decline unless they find a new home.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great! :D

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Thank you for all you guyses help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np! :D
