For y = 4x + 2x2 – x3, show how to find the value for y, when x = 2. Show your work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just evaluate 4(2) +2(2)^2-(2)^3. You can type that into a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get 8, what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y = 4(2)+2(2)^2-(2)^3 = 8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please @MathNinja_C try to tutor them and not give them the answer unless they are trying to confirm their answer with you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did not give the full answer, they still have to show their work. Hence why I asked what they get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the thing is, they didnt respond to you , so basically you were giving them the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I do it and I got 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but yes math ninja and jimmy joe, you both were correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it because my laptop is not working well

OpenStudy (anonymous):
