Well, at one point I remember they said they were giving one smartcent or 5 not really sure.

smartcents are what gets you titles :P

But first you need to have a certain amount of medals too.

For example, people get 3000 medals, but they already got the 50, and the 500 title. So they spent 550 smartcents

So even though they have 3000 medals, they only have 2450 smartcents. So now they need to get like 3550 medals to get the 3000 smartcents to get the last titlle

You will never have negative smartcents (don't think that is possible) but when you get the other titles, it takes more smartcents to get a higher title.
