[subtracting √3 from both sides]

or,2sin x=-√3

or,2sin x/2=-√3/2

[both sides are divided by 2]

or,sin x=-√ 3/2

or,sinx=sin(-60)

or,sinx=sin (360-60)

or,sinx=sin300

or,x=300

so,the value of x is 300

sin^-1 is a specific function, its output values are only from -pi/2 to pi/2 (-90 to 90)

the problem is, that a function by definition can only give you one specific and unique solution. so they restrict the range of sin^-1 to stay between -pi/2 and pi/2
