Can someone tell me why is it 360-60? 2sinx+√3=0 or,2sinx+√3=0-√3 [subtracting √3 from both sides] or,2sin x=-√3 or,2sin x/2=-√3/2 [both sides are divided by 2] or,sin x=-√ 3/2 or,sinx=sin(-60) or,sinx=sin (360-60) or,sinx=sin300 or,x=300 so,the value of x is 300 ANS:
And why is the inverse of √ 3/2 of sin -60 degrees and not 60 degrees?
sin^-1 is a specific function, its output values are only from -pi/2 to pi/2 (-90 to 90)
there are an infinite number of angles that are equivalent to -60 the problem is, that a function by definition can only give you one specific and unique solution. so they restrict the range of sin^-1 to stay between -pi/2 and pi/2
For some problems that I have done, usually the negative sign gets drop. for instant, if tan x = -1, it converts to x=tanx^-1(1) = 45

no, the sign of tangent is not dropped sometimes they rely on you figuring out the sign afterwards keeping in mind the quadrants and such trig i like 98% memorization and mental gymnastics
trig *is like .....
